It was an extra long weekend since Trey and I both had Friday off! It was nice to have 4 long days. Except they went by too fast!
Here are some pictures of the weekend events:
There was some coloring and play doh playing on Friday. The pool wasn't quite ready yet - we were adjusting the chemicals and cleaning it.
Trey (and I helped) built some scaffolding to paint the stairwell walls. Trey isn't too keen on heights... but he did get the ceiling up there painted before we needed to take it down. We'll have to put it back up to paint the walls though.
New patio furniture! We will eventually redo the deck and rails, but now at least we have a place to sit when we get out of the pool!
Trey found some baby bunnies in the back flower bed. There are only two... we think maybe we found one that didn't make it in the pool filter, poor thing. These little bunnies were burrowed deep in the dirt! Hopefully the mama is coming around at night to check on them. We have been keeping Molly in the house for now until they get bigger and hop away, otherwise she will want to play with them and might accidentally hurt them. Plus, she chases the mama out of the yard.
Lauren was waiting at the door for our friends to come over for Memorial Day grilling and swimming.
She couldn't wait for Kate to get here!
This is the only evidence I have that they actually swam in the pool. We had so much fun that we forgot to take any pictures! There was steak, chicken, hot dogs, potatoes, salad, and homemade ice cream! It was a great day with wonderful friends! Everyone was worn out from all the eating, swimming, and sun. We can't wait to do it again!
