We are back!

There is so much to catch up on! I have not been able to post because :

1. Lauren was pretty sick for a while with RSV. We were all tired a lot because while sick, she had stopped sleeping through the night... It was rough, but we are all better now.

2. I got a new job/promotion at work and that has been busy.

3. It's hard to post when you have no computer desk and are sitting hunched over on the floor (currently the computer is hooked up to the TV). But good news! We ordered our desk and it should be here in 2 to 3 weeks! FINALLY! :)

So - to catch you up on what is happening in our house... let us start with Christmas. It was good, but different because we did not go home. We finally celebrated Christmas with my folks last weekend. Lauren got some really cute things from her Nina and Pop and Aunt Jen and Uncle Chris.

New Year's was pretty uneventful, but by her picture it looked like Lauren partied too hard!

Since New Year's not much has happened except going to work and daycare everyday. It seems like we have been so busy, but now that I think about it I guess we are just pretty normal, maybe even boring!

I will update everyone on a "procedure" Lauren had to have on Friday, the 25th. You may or may not have noticed in some of the pictures we have posted of her that she was born with some birth marks on her face. The doctor called them port wine stains. They were very dark when she was born but they have fadded a lot on their own. However, we decided to go ahead with the laser treatment in order to help them fade even more and keep them from getting darker. Although, my thought has always been... if they have fadded on their own, then how would they get darker? Oh well... i am not the specialist, so what do I know? It was VERY hard to watch her being put to sleep. I cried. I hope none of you ever have to go through that. And I hope we don't have to do it again, but I think we might. The doctor originally told us that Lauren would have to have this laser treatment every 3 months for two years. However, when the doctor did the treatment she told us that she just wanted to see us in the office in 4 months instead of automatically scheduling another treatment. So that was great news!!! She even said it was so light she had a hard time seeing it. Although we were a litte frustruated because she missed a spot... but maybe it will either fade on it's own or she can just do the laser in that one spot if she has to, instead of all over.

So... that's what has been going on with us.
