Tired (*updated!)

*Updated (with pictures!)

I have been totally skipping out on Not Me Monday lately. I'm sorry. But really, there is nothing that interesting to post about for that topic. It's kind of been the "same old, same old" here lately. and i'm just tired. i think it's the lack of sunshine lately. and i just haven't been feeling very good either. anyway - 'nuf complaining.

Here's the weekend review:

Friday - we worked and I do mean "we" because Trey had to work too. normally he works 10 hours a day and has fridays off. not this weekend and not this one coming up either. big bummer. and i made fudge that night.

Saturday - i made more christmas candies that morning .
I stole this idea from my friend LA. I could not find the square Synders pretzels so I used the tiny twists and it worked out great!
And these are just pretzels half dipped in white almond bark... but oh so yummy.

(later that day...) lauren and i enjoyed a fun playdate with our BFFs Robin and Kate. kate tuckered out early and then lauren crashed when we got home. i vegged out on the couch until trey got home from work. yes, he worked saturday too.

Sunday - we skipped church and slept in. i know... how sinful, but we needed the rest. that afternoon we spent covered in dust trying to scrap off the remaining "hard stuff" that was stuck to the cement from under the tile we removed in the foyer. trey operated the scraper machine and i tried to suck up the dust with the shop vac. it was a miserable experience. lauren slept like a champ in the pack-n-play in our closet during it all. i tell ya, sometimes she naps better in there than in her own bed. weird.

i did take some pictures of the latest progress on our "wall project", but their at home and i'm at work. but it's coming along... slowly but surely. we've ordered the carpet for the living room. i'm sure it won't be installed until after the holidays, but that's okay. we've still got to pick out tile for the foyer because at least the first row of tiles has to be laid before carpet installation. and we've got to put up the rest of the base molding. anyway, it will get there. and then we'll put the house up for sale. just kidding. maybe... not really. :) but i AM excited that the new house down the street that was for sale finally sold, so when we do get ready to move there is hope that our house will sell, eventually. i think that one took 6 months?

anyway - i will post pictures, at some point. i think having the wall up really does look much better than before. if i find a good "before" picture i'll post it with the finished product.

*Updated!* Here are some pictures of what our living room looks like these days:

Trey duplicated the molding that goes around the new opening between the foyer and the living room. It only missing the very top piece then that side will be done. He did a great job! And he was right... the archways they builder had on the original wall did look "stupid". This is much better.

i'm ready for christmas! i'm ready for some time off work, so i can have more than 2 days in a row where i don't have to wake up at four FREAKING thirty!!!! because i am straight up pooped.

i wish my work had a naptime. i could use a nap today. :)
